Nothing will be impossible with God
Luke 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God.”
How can we believe this Bible verse? So many times we are disappointed with the outcome of situations in our life that we know that nothing is impossible with God but we don’t really believe it.
Acknowledge your need
Psalms 40:17 As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God!
We shouldn’t focus on our needs but in the fact that God takes care of those who are His. “The Lord takes thought for me” means that God thinks about you. The greatest lie that you can believe in is that He is too busy to be disturbed about our needs. Nobody is poor and needy by their own choice. Poverty and lack arrive through circumstances of life however God is powerful to change any situation. Just tell God, “I am poor and needy BUT you take thought for me!” Tell Him, “You are my help and my deliverer!”
Titanic - Over 1500 people died when the Titanic sank, the greatest number of deaths in a non-military transportation accident up to that time (and I don’t know of any greater since that time). Many passengers and crew members believed the Titanic to be unsinkable, and the ship’s designers believed it was almost true. Titanic’s eight-member band was led by Wallace Hartley, and upon panic of the passengers during Titanic’s sinking, assembled in the first-class lounge to play in an effort to keep everyone calm. As the ship continued to plunge, the band moved to the forward half of the boat deck, and continued playing even when their doom became apparent. All members of the Titanic band died that night while playing. Legend says that the captain praised them saying , “You did a great job!” God’s word repeatedly warns of the dangers of sin. God says we must repent and turn from evil. The crew of the Titanic received many warnings about the danger they faced, but those warnings went unheeded. 1500 people from the Titanic died that night, because they could not get into the lifeboats. Of those who were able to get into the lifeboats, 700 were rescued, all of them by the Carpathia. No other ship arrived in time.
Revelation 3:16-17 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
Many people, Christians included, think that they don’t need God but can just do things on their own. Without acknowledging our need we are just one step away from losing everything we hold deer. Pride causes spiritual coldness and God hates the lukewarm. If we want to receive the blessings of God we have to understand 3 simple things.
God wrote every chapter in your story
Psalms 139:16-17 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
God wrote down every plan for your life before you where even born. Note that a writer can change the text of the book at any time before it’s published. A sculptor cannot change his mistakes since the stone was carved and cannot be restored. We sometimes do mistakes that cannot be corrected but God is always able to re-write our future. We cannot afford this kind of mistakes so we have to know God’s thoughts at any cost. I once read in a book about “Habits of successful people” that “when you start something visualize the end result”. The most important thing we need to know about God and His relationship with us is that He already knows our ending.
God established His plan and purpose
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
If we want an engine to function properly we have to make sure that it’s clean and has enough oil. God wants to increase our “spiritual horsepower” by cleaning our sin and anointing us with the Holy Spirit.
God’s plan is to give you a future and a hope. He thinks about us and has projects for our future. Instead of trying to live a life on your own just trust God and believe His plan is better than yours. Before I travel I usually look at a map and plan how to get to my final destination. God’s plan is better than mine so I always try to find out what steps of faith I need to take in order to get to my destiny. God’s plan is always better than yours! His thoughts are precious and as we humble ourselves and acknowledge that we are poor and needy we always trust that He takes care of us and that nothing is impossible to God.
God gives us second chances
Revelation 21:1-6 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.
Verse 5 says, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He also commands the angel to write a new plan to those that belong to Him.
God is an expert in changing circumstances that are impossible to us but quite possible too Him.
God has a plan but we can deviate from that purpose. Many of us are living the consequences of wrong decisions from our past. God is able to forgive our sins and He even uses our shortcomings to put us in the right track.
Know that you can even lose your life because of the consequences of your sin or of your past but He will wipe away your tears and when we get to Heaven we will have a second chance of living in His will.
When Jesus found the Samaritan woman at the wheal she got a second chance. She was living in sin and Jesus offer her the water of life. Here in Revelation 6 it says “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.”
James 4:7 God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
Luke 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God.”
Know that nothing is impossible to God and ask Him today “do not delay, O my God!”
